We get a thrill at Happy Dog every time we see our name in print. It’s nice to be noticed, and a ton fun when you can bring your friends along. Our amazing dog walkers, dogs, and clients get to share the spot light in everything we do! So from Press to Parties, we boastfully and graciously celebrate with you.
Happy Dog Headquarters (Bushwick)
We were thrilled to sit down with Jeremy Sapienza of BushwickBk.com to talk about Happy Dog Walking Company's Brooklyn dog walker and pet service launch during summer of 2008.
"With clients all over Manhattan and now Brooklyn, they are quickly expanding their Bushwick-based company's reach. In addition to their dog walking services, they also provide doggy daycare in their beautiful apartment on Melrose complete with a huge back yard suitable for all kinds of dog activities from romping and wrestling to naps in the sun."
We only wish he mentioned the lawn chairs. Dogs love sun bathing in them all summer long!
The Greatest American Dog
Happy Dog Walking Company had a blast celebrating the CBS Season Premier: The Greatest American Dog during summer of 2008. We teamed up with the network to swarm the city dog runs and parade the streets.
Dressing our walkers and dogs in gear alike, we took over CBS Black Rock and the Penn Station area for a two day celebration. With a booth in Central Park, Happy Dog invited dog owners around the city to join us in the occasion. There were hot dogs to eat and hot dogs to hydrate, funny stories, antics and dog escapades! It was our way of saying: Your dog, Our dog, EVERY dog is the Greatest American Dog!
Rex and The City
When the popular German Magazine, Dogs contacted Happy Dog Walking Company for a feature story in their upcoming magazine, we were ecstatic! Spring 2008, Dogs author Philip Alsen and photographer Martin Kellwer flew in to the city and spent several days tracking our dog walker’s footsteps. We frolicked throughout Central Park, partied in Times Square, and travelled to dog runs from Inwood down to the Hudson River. They studied our 'New York Dog Walker' approach, photographed our city dogs, and picked up a lot of poop. After walking a day in our shoes, they saw our dog walkers as more than just a dog's best friend, but a daily athlete and asset to the pups! We have major credibility in Germany now. Die Stadtneureutiker
Martin from Hamburg contacted me a year after 'Rex and The City' hit the press to inform me of a new German Magazine interested in republishing our Rex article with additional photos. We can't stop laughing at the idea of being a household name in Germany! The headline reads "Die Stadtneureutiker" and plays as homage to Woody Allens movie Annie Hall which in German is "Der Stadtneurotiker". It exemplifies a classic synonym for New Yorkers, as I'm told it translates "The City Neurotics". All in fun! (Click on the image to download the full article.)
